I'm very pleased with the way this light looks over my kitchen island. Traditional with a bit of a modern twist. I didn't realize that the shade was metal when I ordered it but I like it. (I thought it was glass because I didn't read the description!) It causes the light to be focused downward. Two thumbs up.
